How this would actually work
Where it comes from
Teams transcribes the meeting the way it already can, and saves the transcript to your OneDrive. Nothing new is installed and no third-party notetaker joins your calls.
What reads it
Claude, through Microsoft's own connector, using only the permissions your admin grants. Your files stay in your OneDrive and SharePoint. Claude reads them to write the brief, and that content is processed under Alight's own Claude agreement, not in anything I host or keep. Your IT team holds the permissions, the audit trail, and the off switch.
What it produces
The brief above, and the emails as drafts in your Outlook. Nothing is sent, assigned, or scheduled without you pressing the button.
What IT would need to turn on
Two settings, both off by default, both theirs.
- Microsoft Entra admin consent for the Claude Microsoft 365 connector, including its write permissions.
- Teams transcription enabled on the meeting policy, which is set per organizer and per user.
No system of mine stores your files or your meeting content. Under Alight's Claude agreement your data is not used to train models, and every email Claude sends carries a header identifying it as agent-initiated.
What it does not do
- Drafted email cannot carry attachments. You attach files yourself.
- In-person meetings are not transcribed. Only Teams meetings are covered to start.
- Transcripts save to the Recordings folder Teams chooses, not a folder you pick.
- Meetings on the do-not-capture list are never recorded or summarized at all.
